Four new 27 seater Optare Solo M7900SE-Rs have arrived to further improve the fleet at HTL Buses – Another four due very soon too!
These will enter service across the network over the following few weeks so keep your eyes out for the new 16 reg buses.
HTL Buses driver, Lyndsey Stuart, won an award at the 2015 Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport Awards (CILT) in Manchester on 26th June.
At the event in the Grand Central Hotel, Lyndsey was awarded the North West Region Student of the Year 2015 award having been nominated by North West Education & Training for completing her full PCV course and successfully working at HTL Buses as a bus driver while also being a full time mum.
The judges said she faced tough competition from the other finalists but her hard work and commitment to the job shone through.

From Monday 30th March 2015 a Day Rider Ticket will be available that is valid only on services 166, 188, 266 & 288 (Belle Vale – Halewood) & (Halewood – Belle Vale) for £3.50.
The ticket will only be available to purchase and use Monday to Friday Daytimes only (excluding Bank Holidays). The ticket can be bought from the driver as you board the bus.
On service 166 it will only be valid until 18:01 and on service 188 it will only be valid until 17:39 – It will be valid on all Monday to Friday route 266 & 288 services.
The ticket is NOT valid on the evening and weekend Merseytravel funded Garston Circular services or any other HTL Buses service.

From Monday 2nd February 2015 there will be changes to how the Monday to Friday daytime Garston Circular services, routes 166, 188, 266 & 288 operate.
The routes are split into separate smaller sections, so buses no longer operate as complete circulars.
Buses either run as a Belle Vale to Halewood service or a Halewood to Belle Vale service – you can’t make a through journey via Halewood. Service are also rerouted so only peak time buses now serve Okell Drive; no buses serve Long Lane, Greenhill Road, Heath Road or the top part of Springwood Avenue; and no Monday to Friday buses now serve Springwood Cemetery. The times are changed.
(Buses run for Merseytravel during the evenings and weekends are unchanged.)
